A different post from me today.
I have been lucky to test out a new coffee machine from Bosch and Tassimo - we all know by now how much I need my coffee 😂
It’s a great design that fits well in to smaller spaces and looks nice on the countertop. I really loved that this machine is made from ≈ 57% recycled material. However, considering that the pods are not recyclable, there’s still quite a lot of waste from a machine like this.
It’s easy to use and works well but I also found it frustrating that all of the drink sizes are SO SMALL! So I’ve still not quite managed to make my ideal coffee 😬 the drinks are nice, I just need more of it.

I was extremely lucky to be able to see the puffins around Coquet Island just 24/48 hours before they would be all gone.
It was a brilliant trip around the island and the seals and sea birds were out in full force!

One of my favourite things to do when I’m exploring is find unique, independent coffee shops ☕️

I found @flatwhitedurham on my last trip to Durham, and it did not disappoint. The cafe is hidden on a little side street, which is perfect for the warm, cosy energy it emanates.
The baristas were lovely and friendly, and the coffee was amazing.

It was a beautiful sunny morning when I visited, but I also think that I would make the perfect cosy Autumn hideaway.

I can’t wait to go back ☕️

Oo it’s been a chaotic few weeks 😂

Running a business is great, I love the flexibility it allows me and the ability to connect with so many other creatives.

Trying to balance all of that, and take care of two poorly pups however… not so ideal 😅

Sometimes your priorities shift and that’s okay! My goals recently have not been growth or expansion, it’s been to keep plodding along and maintain my current jobs and clients whilst not burning out.

Thankfully, the dogs are completely better (phew 😮‍💨) and things are getting back to normal. Apologies if anyone is waiting for a reply from me, I’m on it!

Guys I managed to finish 3 whole books last week 🤯

I love my job, I’m so grateful to be able to work with incredible business and the individuals that are behind them.
But like everyone, I need balance.

And having a week offline has definitely shown that I was getting to the point where instead of giving myself a couple of hours to read, I’d feel so guilty that I wasn’t being ‘productive’ that I would just end up doom scrolling.

So I’m going to try and shift the balance back to neutral, and making sure my brain gets some time away from screens.

Was it false Spring… possibly.

We all have a ‘why’ - something that meant starting a business would allow you to fulfil your goals.

I never thought that I would have a creative job, having done science forever. But after finishing my Zoology degree in the pandemic, and moving counties, I found that I needed something flexible while we renovated and allowed me to prioritise my dogs, who hadn’t asked to live in chaos 😂

So I found myself looking back to one of my earlier qualifications in photography and found that I could combine that with my passion for sustainability and supporting small businesses.
